Resonate KT - Essential Web Parts

Resonate KT produce two Web Parts for Microsoft SharePoint which complement and enhance the Open Text SharePoint 2007 Integration. The Web Parts use WebReports to make it easy to present customized views of Livelink data within Microsoft SharePoint. Just as with WebReports in Livelink, you can gather any Livelink data you need and exercise total freedom in how to present it. This ability to tailor data views according to your user's exact needs will improve the usability, adoption and ROI of your SharePoint Integration.

The Web Parts provide full support for parameterized inputs by the SharePoint user before executing the WebReport - e.g. selection of dates or input types.

HTML Web Part

The Basic Web Part allows the user to browse Livelink for a WebReport object either through a Livelink hierarchy browser or a list of available WebReports. When a user views the Web Part in SharePoint the WebReport executes in Livelink gathering, filtering and formatting the required information before rendering the output in SharePoint. Any kind of data view not provided by the standard Open Text SharePoint Integration can be quickly and easily built without custom development for SharePoint or Livelink.

XML Web Part

The XML Web Part provides an additional layer of programmatic control by allowing the developer to apply an XSLT style sheet to WebReports results provided to Microsoft SharePoint. Typically the WebReport is built in Livelink where filtering and data manipulation can occur at both the database (SQL) and Livelink server (WebReports content control tags). The application of XSLT to these XML results allow ultimate control before delivery to the user.

Both the Basic Web Part and XML Web Part utilize the Open Text SharePoint solution for authentication. This means installation and configuration are kept to a minimum with no need to maintain separate connection data.
